I bought the iWow to get better sound quality out of my ipod classic. It did deliver much improved sound as promised. While this may be easy starting with a highly compressed file like mp3, I found that it also improved uncompressed files (wav files taken directly from the cd). I was however disappointed that 1) there is no way to charge the ipod battery while using the iWow, and 2) it drains the battery very quickly (it drained the battery in less than an hour, starting from a full charge). That was extremely disappointing.
If you are only planning on using your ipod for short durations, this is highly recommended. If however, you are going to use it for an hour or more of continuous use, you will not have battery power to get the usage you require.
Other reviews complained about the brightness of the power button. I did not find it to be overly distracting.
Sorry, I do not have an iphone or ipad, so am unable to review the iWow when used with these products.

Pros: makes headphones sound much better - Etymotics 4P, Grado SR325i, even the cheap earphone from Apple.
Cons: What's with the bright LED light? I wish there's a way to turn it off. I put a black gaffer tape on top of it. Watch the volume coz one tends to play the music louder with this device.
Aside: use this with Soundfreaq SFQ-01 and wow!

Sure the sound is enhanced though not calibrated. So you do not know the accuracy of the sound reproduced and the orginal intent. Sucks too much battery power and defeats the sustainable listening time. A virtue of the iPod.
